Browser Capture extension — Privacy Policy
For the TITA Automation – Browser Capture browser extension. Last updated 2026-06-21.
What this extension does
The extension is the recording companion for TITA AI Automation Designer. While you record, it captures your interactions on web pages — the elements you click, the text you type, and the page URLs and titles — and turns them into automation steps you can replay as web tests.
What is collected, and where it goes
- The recorded steps are sent only to your own TITA AI Automation Designer (running locally on your machine) or to your own TITA cloud workspace that you have signed in to.
- The extension does not send your browsing data to the publisher for any other purpose. We do not sell, rent, or share it with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.
- Recording is active only while you are using the recorder. The extension stores only your local recorder settings (such as the capture endpoint and on/off state) in your browser.
Permissions, and why
- Access to web pages (all URLs) and the active tab — because you may record a test on any website, the recorder must be able to run on whatever page you are recording.
- Scripting — to observe the elements you click and type into so they can be captured as steps.
- Tabs — to attribute recorded steps to the correct page (URL/title).
- Storage — to remember your local recorder settings.
The extension runs only code included in its package; it does not download or execute remote code.
Your control
You can pause or stop recording at any time, and remove the extension to stop all capture. Any recorded steps live in your own Designer or workspace, which you control. To export or delete workspace data, see our main Privacy & data access page.
